Logbook Servicing
Whenever you purchase a new vehicle, the manufacturer provides you with a warranty that covers the cost of parts failure. This warranty is voided if you do not have your car periodically serviced by a certified mechanic who records and stamps these servicings in your vehicles logbook.
Here at Fleetmaster Automotive, our mechanics are fully certified to provide logbook servicing for all:
- Petrol vehicles
- Diesel vehicles
- Electric/hybrid vehicles
Vehicle Inspections
Vehicles older than five years require a safety check (formerly a pink slip) before their registration can be renewed. Vehicles out of registration for more than 3 months, or brought in from out of state, will require an AUVIS inspection (previously a blue slip). Both of these inspections can only be issued by an Accredited Inspection Station (AIS). For more information visit the NSW Government page on safety checks and inspections.
When you’re thinking about buying a secondhand vehicle, we would recommend bringing in your vehicle for a pre-purchase inspection. This way you know exactly what you’re buying, and you avoid any nasty surprises.
If you’re planning a bush trip or even just a long road trip, we would say that you get your car checked in a pre-trip inspection. Would you rather discover there’s something wrong with your vehicle when you’re in a mechanics shop or when you’re miles away from civilization?
Here at Fleetmaster Automotive, we are an Accredited Inspection Station, and can help you with:
- Safety checks and AUVIS inspections
- Pre-purchase inspections
- Pre-trip inspections
Steering and Suspension
Faults and flaws in your steering and suspension affect your handling and ride comfort, causing play in the steering wheel and body lean through corners. Your suspension is also responsible for maximising the grip that tyres exert on the road surface, so a poor suspension will also increase your stopping distance.
Fleetmaster Automotive’s expert technicians can help you with:
- Shock absorbers, springs and struts
- Bushing replacement
- Power steering repairs and replacement
- Lift kits and 4WD upgrades
Clutch and Transmission
As part of the assemblage that transfers power from the engine to the wheels, the clutch and transmission are composed of some of the most intricate and sophisticated machinery in your vehicle. Due to their complicated nature, even minor flaws can quickly proliferate into extremely costly repairs.
Here at Fleetmaster Automotive, our skilled mechanics can provide the following services:
- Transmission servicing
- Clutch and transmission repairs and replacement
- Manual transmissions
- Automatic transmissions
- CV Joints
Cooling System
When your cooling system is malfunctioning, it can cause a multitude of problems, from reduced engine power and fuel efficiency, to decreased engine lifespan as leaking coolant and overheating damages the engine block. If these problems are ignored for long enough, they will render your vehicle immobile, with the cost of repairs being comparable to that of buying a secondhand car.
Here at Fleetmaster Automotive, our experts can help you with:
- Radiator/heater unit repairs and replacement
- Head gasket replacement
- Coolant flush and leak check
- Thermostat check
Auto Electrical
As modern vehicles have increased in complexity, more and more functionality is governed by the vehicle’s onboard auto electrical network. This network handles everything from playing music and monitoring fuel consumption, to assisting with braking and gear changes, even putting your vehicle into limp mode if a serious fault is detected, to prevent lasting damage.
Here at Fleetmaster Automotive, our skilled auto electricians can help you with:
- Alternators and starter motors
- Battery check and replacement
- Component replacement
- Diagnostic scans
Brake Services
Your brakes are the most important safety system your vehicle has. While other safety systems, like airbags, only help to reduce the severity of an accident, your brakes can also act preventatively, and the condition of your brakes is often the deciding factor between an accident and an emergency stop.
Here at Fleetmaster Automotive, our expert technicians can help you with:
- Brake component replacement
- Brake machining
- Brake hose repairs
